I am so excited to teach a course through Judaism Unbound’s UnYeshiva. My course is called Traditionally Unbound and is a crash course on Karaite Judaism. You might be thinking to yourself, “Why is Shawn teaching a formal course through another organization?” The answer is easy.
They asked me. That’s it. It’s as simple as that.
I’ve wanted to do a more formal course on Karaite Judaism for years. And they gave me the perfect opportunity.
There is an important point here that I don’t want to get lost here. If you want people to be involved in Jewish activities, the best thing you can do is “ask.” They did. And I agreed.
And if this goes well, I will offer other courses. Either through The Karaite Jewish Learning Center. Or through A Blue Thread. Or through The Karaite Press. Or somewhere.

Today is Monday, of the second week of the seven weeks. Today is the 9th day of the counting of 50 days from day of the wave-sheaf offering from the morrow after the Sabbath.
I pray that Karaite Judaism receives many more offerings to present its fundamentals to those who are seeking it. I registered for this mini series to support this endeavor.
